Suggested tips,
right at checkout.

The tip field used to be blank. Now clients see your suggested amounts as buttons, each with the percentage and the dollar figure, plus Custom for any other amount. One click and it is added.

How it works

Pick up to four percentages

Each one is figured on the booking total, before or after sales tax, your choice. Processing fees are never part of it. Nothing is pre-selected.

Call it Tip, Gratuity, or Donation

Your word shows everywhere clients and staff see it: payment page, receipts, invoices, reports, and the app.

Shows up wherever they pay

On the payment page for any booking, even one paid in full. Optionally at first booking, when a client accepts a proposal, books online, or books a Mini with a payment due. Staff taking a card or using Tap to Pay in the Check Cherry app see the same amounts.

The details are handled

✓ Already tipped? The payment page says how much, so nobody tips twice.

✓ Tip added, then paying by check? The tip is noted on the payment history so you collect it with the payment.

✓ A tip is charged on top of the payment. The booking balance and payment schedule never change.

✓ Tip Received automated message templates and a Tips report are ready when you are.

Setup takes a minute. Go to Manage, Payment Settings, Tips, then Settings. Pick the name, your percentages, and where they show. Walkthrough: How do I let clients leave a tip?

Level up your account security

Not new, but worth a minute if you are not using it yet. With it on, signing in takes your password plus a code texted to your phone. Jacob shows the setup in 50 seconds.

1. Click your name in the upper right, then My Profile, More Options, Two-Factor Authentication.

2. Enter a phone number you will always have access to.

3. Each staff member does the same from their own profile. Anyone with admin access should have it on.
