Your iPhone is now the card reader.
Tap to Pay on iPhone is live in the Check Cherry app. Your client holds their card, phone or watch near the top of your iPhone, and the payment is done. No reader, no dongle, nothing to buy.
Open the booking, pick Tap to Pay on iPhone, and enter the amount. Add a tip, then hold their card to the top of your phone. Nothing to carry and no card numbers to type, and the payment lands on the booking with the tip and the balance already updated. If they add an hour on the spot, put it on the booking first and charge the new balance.
Update the app first. Tap to Pay on iPhone ships in version 3.0.0 and needs iOS 18 or later.
Try it at your next event
Open a booking in the app, take a payment, and pick Tap to Pay on iPhone. There is a short one-time setup the first time through.
Tap to Pay on iPhone requires iPhone XS or later and a supported payment app running a current version of iOS. Some contactless cards may not be accepted, and transaction limits may apply.
