Looking back, 2018 was an amazing year for Check Cherry. With your help, we were able to continue improving the platform making it easier to use and more powerful. A sincere thank you to all of those who took the time to share their thoughts with us. Here are just a few things we accomplished together in 2018:
Improved Tax Support
Tax support in Check Cherry is rock solid. From managing different rates on a per event basis to allowing for only certain packages or add-ons to be be taxable. Your accountant is going to love what we did in 2018.
This long requested feature finally hit production. With Check Cherry's PayPal integration, you have another option for accepting payments and automatically updating your client's invoice.
The first iteration of our "Photo booth template feature" came out great. It's far more than just picking a template and allows for clients to provide feedback based on versions of the artwork prior to approval.
Easier Package Management
Packages are the core of Check Cherry. We took the time to revisit several aspects of package management including a refresh of the user interface, to settings for hidden packages, flat rate pricing and more.
Customer Support via Chat
Customers LOVE quick responses to questions or feature requests. We added chat support to every Check Cherry account at no additional charge. It's been great to get to know many of you better.
Facebook Group Reboot
We rebooted the Check Cherry User Group and could not be happier with the results. It's the place to hear about new features first and ask others questions to help take your business to the next level.
Better Lead Management
Leads were upgraded in 2018. You can now add and edit your own leads. Also, convert leads to an event with a single click. Finally, you can send automated messages to your leads.
Contact forms allow you to collect leads directly from your website and offer a great strategy for giving customers another call-to-action to move into your sales funnel.
Automatically calculate and charge a fee based on the distance to a venue. By setting up multiple travel zones, you can charge different rates based on the total distance.
Perfect for those one-off requests, we added the ability to record a booking which falls outside your standard menu of services.
Hundreds of refinements, enhancements or fixes.
There were over 1000 commits/changes to the platform in 2018. Includes redesigned invoices, support for time-based add-ons, flat-rate events, guest payments with secure tokens, international date support, improved calendar integration and more.
LOOKING TOWARDS 2019
There is a buzz around the office. We're pumped because 2019 is going to be an even better year for Check Cherry and its' customers. We're starting this year with a clear vision of where we want to take the platform to ensure it's a service you absolutely love. There will be a lot of exciting new features and plenty of polish to existing features.
