5 Tips for Capturing Last-Minute Bookings

Last-minute bookings can be great for filling gaps in your schedule. Here are five ways to make it easy for clients to book you on short notice.

1. Offer More Than One Package

Having multiple packages at different price points gives last-minute clients options. Someone who cannot afford your premium package might book your basic one. A booking at a lower rate is better than an empty date.

To let clients choose more than one package on a single booking, enable that option in the Booking Engine settings.

2. Enable Online Booking

Clients booking last-minute do not want to wait for a proposal. Let them book and pay immediately through your online booking page. The fewer steps, the better.

Packages are set to online booking by default, so you may already be good to go. You can confirm or change this in each package's settings under Packages. Just go to the Advanced tab of the package - you'll find the booking methods there.

3. Show Your Availability

Add an availability calendar widget to your website so clients can instantly see which dates are open. Embed it with Website Integration.

4. Use Flex Pricing for Last-Minute Discounts

Create a discount rule that automatically applies when the event date is within a few days. This rewards last-minute bookers and fills your calendar. Set it up in Flex Pricing.

5. Respond Fast

If a last-minute inquiry comes in as a lead, follow up immediately. Enable push notifications on the Check Cherry app for iOS and Android so you see new leads the moment they arrive.

Online booking captures leads automatically. Even if someone does not finish booking, their info is saved as a lead for you to follow up on. You can set up automated messages to trigger when a new lead is created.
