Asking for the photographer's name feels like busy work, but did you know it's the most valuable question on your form? On the right, it's coordination. You queue the cake cutting early, so the photographer is in position instead of across the room. But look those names up before you show up. Then find those people during setup and say hello by name. Because photographers, planners, and venues get asked for a DJ recommendation constantly, you'll know they hand out the names of people they know and like to work with. So, introduce yourself. Collaborate. Say thank you after, and tag them when the photo goes up. Do that 10 weddings in a row and you stop chasing leads. Because before you know it, vendors start sending them to you. It may look like busy work, but it's a group of friends you haven't made yet.
