0:00 In this video, we're going to walk through lead forms. Lead forms are how you collect inquiries from your website so you get the details about someone's event before you ever reach out. To find them, go to manage, business settings, leads. Before we build a form, look over here on the right. These lists feed into your forms and your leads. Lead sources are where people heard about

0:22 you. Google, Facebook, friends, and family. Add your own, one per line. Lead types are how you rate a lead. Hot, warm, and cold are already set up. Event types are the kind of events you do: wedding, corporate, school, or birthday. You can also turn on spam filtering here. Here's my basic form. If you've used Check Cherry for a while, you'll notice this looks different from the lead

0:46 forms you're used to. This is our modern form builder, and it's where lead forms are headed going forward. If you already have forms set up, nothing changes. They'll keep working just like they always have. The builder has three tabs: fields, design, and settings. The preview on the right updates you as you go, and you can switch between desktop and phone to see how it

1:08 looks on both. On the fields tab, drag fields up and down to reorder them. Click a field to open it. From there, you can make it required or optional. Set the width on larger screens. Two fields of 50% sit side by side like first name and last name. Change the label or add help text that shows up under the field. Or you can remove it from the form. If you want to know more about

1:33 the event up front, like the number of guests or the venue address, click add to form and pick what you need. Let's add estimated guests. Now let's make it match your brand. Start with the style, clean, soft, minimal, bold, or dark. That gets you most of the way there. Then fine-tune it. Colors, button, button text, text, field, background, and field border. Drop in your brand colors. Match

2:01 my website picks up the font of whatever page the form is on. You can also set the text size and choose whether labels sit above the field or inside it. Shape. You can choose outline field or underlined fields and how rounded the corners are and how much spacing there is between fields. For the submit button, you can fit to the text or full width aligned left, center, or right. Container,

2:30 none, or a card around the form. Max width, leave it blank to fill the section, or set a pixel width to keep it narrower. If you know some CSS, there's a custom CSS box at the bottom. On the settings tab, form name is only visible to you, so name it something you'll recognize if you have more than one. Check show this form on my contact page to use it on your check cherry contact

2:53 page. Button text. Change submit to something like check availability. After someone submits, the default saves the lead and shows a confirmation message. Require a capture if you're getting spam. All right, now let's get it on your website. Click embed. Choose the lead form and you'll have two options. Embed on my site gives you HTML code. If you're on Squarespace,

3:17 Wix, or another builder that lets you add code, paste it in, and the form will sit right on your page. Link only gives you a link to the form hosted by Check Cherry. Put it on a button like a contact us button and it'll open the form. Let's fill this out like a client would and submit it. Now go to sales leads and there's the new lead with everything they've

3:45 entered. From here you can edit the lead, mark it hot, warm or cold, convert it to a proposal or a booking or quick send a message. If you have any questions, always feel free to reach out to our support team. We're always glad to help
