Connect Any App With Zapier

Zapier connects Check Cherry to thousands of other apps without any code. In this one we walk through connecting it, building a Zap that sends new Check Cherry leads straight into Mailchimp, and setting one up the other way, pulling a Google Form response in as a new Check Cherry lead.

0:00 Zapier connects Check Cherry to thousands of other apps without any code. And the easiest way to see what that means is to build one. We'll start on the Check Cherry side in manage business settings and then go to integrations where Zapier sits towards the bottom of the list. Clicking connect hands us off to Zapier to finish signing in. Right now that means copying a private API key out of

0:23 Check Cherry to paste in. That key is basically a password to the whole account. So, we're keeping it off screen here. From there, we connect whatever app we're sending data to. In this case, it's Mailchimp. So, that's just a normal login and an authorization screen. With both accounts connected, we build the zap itself. Every Zap starts with the trigger, the thing that happens.

0:50 And here it's new lead is added to check Jerry. Testing that trigger pulls in a real sample lead. First name, last name, and a phone number. Then comes the action. We pick Mailchimp's add or update subscriber. And this is where most of the actual work happens. Mapping each check cherry field to where

1:13 it belongs in Mailchimp. Subscriber email, status, first name, last name, phone number, company name. A few fields like birthday just don't apply here, so those get left blank. Testing the action creates a real subscriber. And checking Mailchimp confirms it landed with everything attached correctly. To prove it

1:47 actually works end to end, we submit a real lead through one of the Check Cherry web forms. It doesn't show up instantly. Zap history. The clock icon on the Zap shows exactly when it ran and what data went through. And a minute or two later, there's the new contact sitting in Mailchimp. Home page for Check Cherry lists the apps other customers connect most and has readymade templates

2:16 to start from. Worth a look for ideas beyond what's covered here. Zaps work in both directions, too. Pulling data into Check Cherry just as easily as sending it out. This time, the trigger is a new response on a Google form. And the action is create lead inside Check Cherry. Same idea, mapping form fields to lead fields, first name, last name, email. Submitting the

2:42 form for real and checking Zap history confirms it. The new lead shows up inside Check Cherry with everything mapped correctly. A couple of things worth knowing. Zapier only reacts to new activity going forward. It won't backfill leads or bookings that already existed before the zap was turned on. And it only moves data between Check Cherry and other apps. It can't change anything

3:05 about how Check Cherry itself looks or works. And that's it. If you ever have any questions, feel free to reach out to our support team. We'll always be glad to help
