How To Use Quickbooks Online With Check Cherry

If you're typing bookings and payments into QuickBooks after they're already in Check Cherry, you're doing the work twice. Let's connect QuickBooks online so Check Cherry sends them over to you. This works with QuickBooks Online only, not QuickBooks Desktop. Go to manage, then business settings, then integrations. Find QuickBooks Online and click enable. Sign into your QuickBooks account and click connect. Now choose whether to sync automatically or manually. We'll go with automatic. Check sync confirmed bookings and sync payments. If you want proposals in QuickBooks as invoices, too, check sync proposals. Want your card fees tracked? Check sync processing fees. Those get recorded as an expense in a processing fees check account. Next, set your start dates. They default to the day you connect. Bookings and proposals go by event date. Payments go by payment date. Then pick the account your payments get recorded to. Most people leave it on undeposited funds since that's how QuickBooks expects deposits to be handled. Click finish setup to make sure it's working. Open a booking. You'll see when it last synced with QuickBooks. Click that to see the sync status and any error or click sync now to send it over right away. A couple things to know. A booking needs a client assigned or it won't sync. And syncing only goes one way. Changes you make in QuickBooks don't come back to Check Cherry. If you charge sales tax, turn it on in QuickBooks first so your tax amounts come across correctly.
