Every message Check Cherry sends has two settings that decide who it goes to and what happens when someone hits reply: Recipients and Send Replies To
Recipients
The "Recipients" field controls who will receive the automated message. You can add as many as needed. You're not limited to the preset options: type in any email address you want, and mix typed-in addresses with the presets freely. The available presets depend on the message type, but they generally include:
- Client: the customer on the lead or booking. Archived or unsubscribed contacts are skipped automatically.
- Additional Contacts: any extra contacts you've added to a booking, like a second decision-maker.
- My Business: your own business email. Use this for internal notifications you want in your inbox.
- Staff Assigned to Booking: only the staff members assigned to that specific booking.
- All Admins: everyone on your team with an admin role.
- All Staff: every staff member on your account.
Send Replies To
This sets the name the message appears to come from and where replies land. The options vary by message type:
- My Business: replies go to your main business email, and the message shows your business name. This is what most messages use. Visit Manage -> Business Settings and edit one of your brands to see or change this.
- Staff Assigned to Booking: the message comes from the staff member assigned to that booking, and replies go to them. If no one is assigned yet, replies fall back to your business email.
- Client: the message is set to come from the client. This is useful on internal alerts, like a new-lead notification to your team, so you can reply and answer the client directly. Available on lead-based messages.
- A specific staff member: pick any team member by name to handle replies.
- Check Cherry: the From name shows "Check Cherry" instead of your business, and replies still go to your business email. You generally don't need this, but it can help in the rare case where your email provider blocks outside messages sent under your own business name.
Because your message sends from your Check Cherry address rather than through your own inbox, the small round icon next to your name in Gmail stays blank. See Why doesn't my logo show next to my emails? for the full explanation.
