Use the Backdrop Manager to organize your backdrops

Clients love having backdrop options, and over time your collection grows. Organizing backdrops into categories makes it easier for clients to find the perfect one for their event.

Categories

Backdrops are easier to browse when organized into categories. Most businesses use something like Basic, Premium, and Seasonal — but you can name them whatever makes sense for your collection.

Category Settings

  • Category Name: What clients see when browsing (Basic, Premium, Free, etc.)
  • Sub Header: Brief context shown under the name ("Included with your package," "Additional fee applies")

Default Settings

Each category has defaults that apply to all backdrops in that category unless you override them on individual backdrops:

  • Default Price: Starting at $0.00, but you can set any amount
  • Taxable: Whether backdrops in this category are subject to sales tax (only applies in your configured tax zones)
  • Require Lead Time: Useful if you need to order or ship backdrops before the event
  • Show in Backdrop Gallery Widget: Whether to display these backdrops on your marketing website

Default Visibility

Control which packages can see and book backdrops from this category:

  • Media: The primary image clients see when browsing backdrops
  • Visible for Packages: Choose which packages can access backdrops in this category
Backdrops have visibility settings at both the category level and individual backdrop level — both must be set to visible for clients to see the backdrop with a specific package.

Individual Backdrop Settings

Each backdrop has its own settings that can override the category defaults:

Basic Information

  • Name: What clients see when selecting backdrops
  • Description: Optional details about the backdrop
  • Category: Which category this backdrop belongs to
  • Price: Override the category default if this backdrop has different pricing
  • Taxable: Override the category tax setting if needed

Advanced Options

  • Include at no charge with certain packages: If Yes, this backdrop is free for all packages it's assigned to. If No, you can set individual pricing per package or use the category default.
  • Require lead time: Block bookings that don't give you enough time to prepare this backdrop
  • Show in Backdrop Gallery Widget: Display this backdrop on your marketing website

Media and Package Visibility

Upload the image clients will see when browsing backdrops. You can add multiple images or even a video to show the backdrop in action. You can upload files directly or choose from your existing Media Gallery.

By default, backdrops are visible to all packages. You can restrict specific backdrops to only appear for certain packages by editing the "Visible for Packages" field.

Double-Sided Backdrops

If you have double-sided backdrops, set up availability rules to prevent overbooking. When one side is booked for a date, the other side becomes unavailable automatically.

ManageBusiness SettingsAvailabilityAvailability Rules
Go to Availability Rules.
Click Add New Rule.
Give the rule a descriptive name (clients won't see this — it's for your reference).
Add both sides of the double-sided backdrop to the rule.
Set the maximum quantity you have of this backdrop.

Now when one side is booked, both sides are considered unavailable for that date. This prevents double-booking the same physical backdrop.
