Instant booking is a poor fit when you want to check the details before you commit, but a lead form hides your price. Request for Proposal sits between the two. The client sees your pricing and sends you their details, Check Cherry builds the proposal, and you decide what happens next.
Online booking modes
Each package has its own mode, so changing one package leaves the rest as they are.
| Mode | Client sees the price | What the client does | What you get |
|---|---|---|---|
| Allow Online Booking | Yes | Signs and checks out | A booking, with no approval step |
| Request for Proposal | Yes | Submits a request, with nothing to sign or pay | A proposal to review, approve, and send |
| Display Lead Form | No | Fills out your lead form | A lead to follow up with |
Display Lead Form hides the price Check Cherry shows on the package. A price typed into the package name or description still shows.
What the client sees
The client chooses their options, enters their details, reviews the pricing, and clicks Submit Request. They don't sign or pay at this point. They then see that the proposal is awaiting review, and they can't accept it until you approve it.
How you get notified
The Proposal Request Generated automated message emails your business as soon as a request comes in, with links to edit and preview the proposal. It only goes to you. Nothing is sent to the client unless you add an automated message for them.
This message only appears on your Automated Messages page once at least one package uses Request for Proposal. If you're looking for it and it isn't there, that's why. Switch a package over and it will show up, ready to edit like any other automated message.
To confirm the request for your client, create a second Proposal Request Generated message with Client as the recipient.
You can also get an alert on your phone. Turn on Proposal: Request Generated in the Check Cherry app for iOS and Android. See Push Notifications.
Approving and sending the proposal
New requests have the status Proposal (Awaiting Review). The date is not held yet, so someone else can still book it. If the date matters, review these quickly.
Only admins can approve a proposal. Proposal expiration, if you use it, starts counting from approval. See proposal expiration dates.
