How do I configure questionnaire settings?

Questionnaire settings control who can see and edit your forms, both for the templates you create and for individual bookings. Most businesses allow clients to see and edit their questionnaires, but restrict staff editing to prevent accidental changes.

ManageQuestionnaire Templates

Click the down arrow next to any questionnaire to access its settings.

Visibility and Editing Settings

These settings determine who can see and modify each questionnaire:

  • Allow staff to see this form: Staff can view completed questionnaires on bookings
  • Allow staff to make changes to this form: Staff can edit questionnaire content and responses
  • Allow customers to see this form: Clients can access the questionnaire in their portal
  • Allow customers to make changes to this form: Clients can edit their responses after submitting
Most businesses enable client visibility and editing so customers can update their information as plans change. Staff editing is useful for correcting typos or adding notes.

Template Management

Other options available from the dropdown menu:

  • Preview: See how the questionnaire looks to clients
  • Edit: Modify questions and content
  • Duplicate: Create a copy to use as a starting point
  • Delete: Permanently remove the template
Changes to questionnaire templates only affect new bookings. Existing bookings keep their original questionnaire settings.

Changing Settings on Individual Bookings

You can override template settings for specific bookings by going to the booking and clicking the Questionnaires tab. This lets you adjust permissions for just that booking without changing the template.

Editing Questions on a Booking

To modify the actual questions on a specific booking, click the down arrow next to Fill Out and select Revise Questions. Changes only apply to that booking.

Use "Revise Questions" when you need to add event-specific questions or remove irrelevant ones for a particular client.
